His Excellency Sok Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and His Excellency Masahiro Mikami, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Cambodia, chaired the 22nd Meeting of the Cambodia-Japan Joint Committee
On 30 August 2021, the Council for the Development of Cambodia issued a press release on His Excellency Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and His Excellency Masahiro Mikami, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Cambodia hosted the 22nd meeting of the Cambodia-Japan Joint Committee via video conference.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries, institutions of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan Business Association in Cambodia (JBAC) and 130 representatives of Japanese companies operating in Cambodia. In this meeting, important points were discussed such as: 1. Minimum wage and seniority pay 2. Tax obligations 3. Logistics 4. Electricity supply and price 5. Car import 6. Cooperation project in human resource development and 7. Organizing workshops to understand how to use the supply chain database system.
